Baker's Beauty
Artist Point is a popular area for skiers and snowshoers. The parking lot is usually bustling with people getting ready to head out into the backcountry, for a day of playing in Washington's plentiful snow. As you begin the ascent to Artist Point, the crowds dissipate and the beauty of the place slowly starts to reveal itself. Mt. Shuksan is the first to appear. It's jagged ridgelines dramatized with snow and ice. Mt. Baker waits to unveil its snowy flanks until you arrive at your destination. It is there that everyone converges and marvels at Baker's beauty.

11:00-1:00 Hike up to Artist Point

2:00-4:00 Head back to the parking lot
