For those anglers looking for blue ribbon trout fishing, look no further than Washington's Yakima River. Pair a variety of mayfly, caddis, and stonefly hatches, with an abundance of rainbow and cutthroat trout, and you can see why the Yakima boasts what some say is the best catch and release fly fishing water Washington state has to offer. As with any river, the Yakima is a river of changing seasons, water levels, water temps, and weather. Some of our favorite hatches include the March Skwala Stonefly hatch followed by the March Brown hatch that lasts through April. May brings the Mothers Day Caddis hatch, while June ushers in a healthy dose of PMD's, Yellow Sallies, and Golden Stone Flys. Not to be out done, the summer can have fantastic Terrestrial fishing. So why not join us for a day float or trout school?
